Well this year is no different. Electrolux has paired with Kelly Ripa to support the search for a cure to Ovarian Cancer in an effort to donate $1 million dollars to OCRF. KitchenAid has continued on their commitment to Cook for the Cure with Susan G. Komen in order to raise money to support the search for a cure to Breast Cancer. Both programs are incredibly important initiatives and we at Plass are proud to support and spread the word. Join Kelly Ripa’s Sleepover and help Electrolux support the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. When you join Kelly’s Sleepover, Electrolux will donate $1 to the cause, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win an Electrolux Perfect Steam washer and dryer pair. This year the Sleepover started on the 8th of September, during Ovarian Cancer Research Month, and goes until the middle of this month, October 12th, 2011. As noted on their sponsor site, Kelly-Confidential.com, they’ve already notated that through the help and support of everyone that’s already participated and joined Kelly’s Sleepover, Electrolux will reach their goal of donating $1 million to OCRF. That’s an incredible accomplishment and most beneficial contribution to a good cause that you can still contribute to. It’s now been 10 years that KitchenAid has helped support the fight against Breast Cancer with their Cook for the Cure Program partnered with Susan G. Komen. Cook for the Cure is a program that gives people with the passion for cooking a way to support the fight against Breast Cancer. Through fundraising, events, auctions, and the sale of pink products the partnership between Susan G. Komen and KitchenAid have raised $8 million in the past decade. This year they want to keep it cooking and raise even more money throughout the month of October to help put an end to Breast Cancer.
